Vitamin E deficiency and your health
Since vitamin D was discovered, vitamin E has fallen by the waste side, however vitamin E is a very important nutrient that is essential to our health. It is required for healthy reproduction, skin, vision, blood and brain. Like other antioxidants, it plays a critical role in protecting us from aging and disease by neutralizing free radicals.
Because vitamin E is so essential for many aspects of our body’s health, there can be a wide range of signs or symptoms of deficiency. Not all the symptoms need to be present for a deficiency to exist; because these symptoms can indicate other health issues, it is important to consult with your provider if you have any symptoms.
