VOLUMA BY Juvéderm®

Voluma is a different formula than Juvéderm®, and it specifically adds volume to the apex, the apple, and the hollow of the cheeks which eliminates the sagging effect that occurs as we age. Voluma is the answer to anti-aging and the effects of gravity causing our face to fall. Made of hyaluronic acid, a hydrating substance that naturally occurs in the body, Voluma requires no allergy testing. Voluma can restore volume to:

  • Flattened or sunken cheeks
  • Nasolabial folds from the nose to the mouth
  • Marionette lines from the mouth to the chin
  • Cheek wrinkles and hollows

How Long Do Juvéderm® Voluma Results Last?

Juvéderm® Voluma is a long-lasting wrinkle filler, but it is not permanent. In many patients, the results last as long as two years because of the ViCross technology.

What Will I Experience While Recovering From Juvéderm® Voluma?

You can return to work and other normal activities immediately after your Juvéderm®Voluma appointment. However, you may experience some mild side effects for 2-4 weeks. These include minor bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, itching, and lumps or bumps at the injection sites. Most patients do not experience these side effects because of the new technology ViCross technology in Voluma that was not in the previous Juvederm products. This technology allows for less downtime and reduced swelling because you absorb less water.

What is a Juvéderm® Voluma Treatment Like?

A small needle is used to inject Juvéderm® Voluma, and the formula includes Lidocaine, which helps to numb the injection areas. We also apply a topical anesthetic to ensure your comfort.

Including the time required for the topical anesthetic to take effect, your appointment for Juvéderm® Voluma injections should last no more than an hour. At Dedicated you also will receive a pre and post care package with all the necessary products to enhance your results and recovery.

KYBELLA®

kybella

The “double chin”, is a common yet undertreated facial aesthetic condition. It can impact a broad range of adults, including both men and women, and can be influenced by several factors such as aging, genetics and weight gain, and is often resistant to diet and exercise alone.

Latisse®

GET FULLER, LONGER LASHES SCHEDULE YOUR CONSULTATION TODAY!

Latisse®™ is the first and only FDA approved treatment for growing fuller, longer, and darker eyelashes. Latisse® solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.

You should apply Latisse® at night after taking out your eye contacts, removing your eye makeup, and after cleaning your face. The solution is applied only to the upper lash line and excess solution is blotted. Don’t worry about the lower eyelid line, as Latisse® will spread to your lower eyelid when you blink. Because the active ingredient in Latisse® affects all hair, it is important to wipe away any solution that drips beyond the lash line to prevent unwanted hair growth. After your lashes have grown for three to four months, you could maintain them by using the drug every other day but this should be discussed with your doctor. You can also use mascara in addition to Latisse® solution.

What Are the Side Effects of Latisse®?

Latisse® side effects may include a transient darkening of the skin around the eyelids and/or brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye, which may be permanent. In addition, it is possible that it may promote hair growth in other skin areas on which it is applied. To avoid this, the manufacturer suggests blotting it off any skin other than the upper eyelids’ lash line. Other side effects may include red and itchy eyes and skin hyperpigmentation.

Who Is a Candidate for Latisse®?

BD_Logo_RBG-NoBGIf you are unhappy with the length, thickness, or color of your eyelashes, Latisse®-enhanced lashes may be for you. If you spend hours placing false eyelashes on your lids, Latisse® would definitely be a timesaving option. Latisse® may also help augment other facial procedures if you have had eyelid surgery or injectables. Latisse® is currently being studied to see if it can play a role in helping cancer patients who have lost their eyelashes. If you are taking antibiotics and heart medications or if you have certain diseases or allergies, you may not be a candidate. Pregnant women and people with skin infections of the eyelids should not use Latisse®. All of your concerns should be discussed with our trained professionals at Comprehensive Dermatology Center of Pasadena before choosing Latisse®.
